Canyon Charter Elementary School Construction Continues

Lower Santa Monica Canyon (LoSaMoCa) has never had a neighborhood association, and historically residents have instead found neighborhood representation in nearby groups. Following the Palisades Fire, a revamp of the Santa Monica Canyon Civic Association, and the creation of the Canyon Alliance, Lower Santa Monica Canyon residents have come together to form their own neighborhood association. A task force was formed with six LoSaMoCa residents, a liaison from East Rustic, and Doug Suisman, the interim president of the SMCCA. The task force has begun its work to unify their section of the Canyon and create a smaller organization that can better address the needs of LoSaMoCa residents. Residents can sign up through the LoSaMoCa website to receive information and stay updated.
